Baraa Primary School is on the outskirts of Arusha, Tanzania. It is one of the most impoverished schools in the area, prompting the Belgian iThemba Foundation to take it under its wings and support the school and its students. One of the projects they did was planting a vegetable garden on the school grounds, providing food and essential nutrients to its pupils. We spoke with Jo Smets, a volunteer from the iThemba Foundation, about the garden and how the Wakati potentially can help.
